What did I learn that increased my understanding of Manaiakalani kaupapa and pedagogy?
Today I enjoyed learning more about the background to MK and it's working history in NZ. I found it really interesting that the range of schools has expanded as word of mouth got around, as well as the collaborative nature of sharing the assessment and progress happening in Auckland.
What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow as a professional?
It was good to be able to refresh my learning around the shortcuts we can do on google for example the Clear formatting or the numbering of folders on Gdoc. I will share those tips with the synicate alongside the Google groups, text to talk milage, reporting documents with contents pages and explore tools. I also think I will investigate Blogger as a reporting tool for our families to reduce FB post- allowing for student voice and celebrations.
What did I learn that could be used with my learners?
At present maybe the talk to text could be a possiblity however I am not sure how this will work in a mainstream classroom with no withdraw space! As metioned Blogger could be worth investigating due to ease of visabilty and use. Can connect with QR and family overseas- collaborative use.
